When purchasing a pair of snow goggles, the right fit and whether the goggles and helmet are compatible or not are just as important as effective UV protection. The field of vision should in any case be sufficiently large enough and pressure points avoided. It is important that the goggles protect well and are waterproof. Wind and snow in the eyes is not only unpleasant, but also leads to an increased risk of skiing accidents. We recommend dark or mirrored lenses for when the weather is nice. Orange or yellow in colour or even transparent glasses are ideal in bad weather. Polar filters also sharpen contours in the terrain and improve visibility. So-called all-weather goggles, e.g. by Variomatic or Varioflex, which automatically darken or lighten the lens, are also practical. Glasses made of shatter-proof and unbreakable polycarbonate are less likely to suffer from damage.

Mittens or fingerlings. Whatever pleases you is allowed. The main thing is that they are robust, warm and waterproof. Gloves should not be too tight-fitting but feel sufficiently comfortable on the hand to ensure optimal thermal insulation. Reinforced areas on the fingers and palms as well as integrated protectors shelter the hand area from injury.

Snowboard boots are relatively comfortable by nature. This is exactly why they have to fit perfectly. Size, individual fit and application area of the boot form a unified whole. No matter whether soft or hard flex – it is important that the heel always has a tight fit for optimal board control. A so-called "heel-hook" impedes board control, causes blisters and interferes with the execution of tricks. We determine the correct boot size in each of our shops using a foot measuring board. When it comes to lacing, quick lacing systems without loop binding and the easy-to-use BOA turning system give you the edge.

It is important that the board you choose performs well in the desired area of use and is tailored to the size of the rider. Edge grip, turning ease, pop and smooth running should all be mentioned as important characteristics.
